Arts & Entertainment

The arts truly set the Milwaukee Region apart from other urban areas its size. More than 150 arts and cultural organizations are located in the seven-county region, prompting American Style magazine to consistently select the area as one of the top 25 arts destinations in the United States. The United Performing Arts Fund, which sponsors local activities, is the most successful fund-raising organization of its kind in the country.

The region’s cultural attractions include theater, music, ballet, opera, art and history museums, festivals and fine dining. There’s also sailboat races, zoos, fishing contests and parades. In fact, one of the biggest surprises newcomers discover is just how much there is to do. We don’t have room to list everything here.
